We have this book called "How Things Work" and Daniel read the section on taps and drains. So we decided to put our knowledge to work and see what really happens when you press the lever on the toilet. For effect, we filled the tank with blue food coloring.
The kids would not believe me that the water in the tank was clean.They saw the rust stains and could not be convinced that the water was not somehow contaminated with really nasty stuff. :)
I wish I had gotten a full frontal view of this expression when he saw the flap lift up and the water escape from the cistern.It was priceless.
You can see just a little bit of it from his profile how expressive he was.
Overall it was a fascinating lesson.
