In science (BJU), Daniel was learning how fossils were made from the time of the flood. We used some colored rice to simulate the earth, rocks, etc that were stirred up during the flood. The Bible says there was 40 days and nights of rain, but there was also water that came gushing out from the earth, which caused quite a mess. We put some toys in the rice and poured water rather violently and allowed it to settle to show how the toys got burried. We also made some casts of some plastic animals with playdough and poured some plaster of paris in and let it dry. It was a fun lesson. :)
